January 20, 2017 was a dark day for a lot of people in marginalized communities here in the United States. It was on that day that a well-known racist, sexist, and xenophobe (whose name we refuse to acknowledge on this site) was elected as the 45th President of the United States.

The following four years were some of the toughest in recent memory for members of society outside the “chosen group” of white, heterosexual, male Evangelicals.

However, something remarkable came from that timeframe between 2017 and 2021: communities came together in support of one another.

From the ashes of reproductive rights came the MeToo movement, opening a Pandora’s Box of outing predators and misogynists that has yet to be closed back up.

From the despair of immigrant families being torn apart came Hispanic communities bonding together and becoming stronger than they’ve ever been.

From the harshness of police brutality and the hopelessness of systemic racism in this country came the Black Lives Matter movement. (Say what you want about the movement itself, it was as pivotal to raising awareness of systemic racism in the 2010s and 2020s as the Civil Rights Movement was back in the 1960s)

So when the same man was recently elected as the 47th President of the United States, many panicked and worried that it would signal an end to the fights of equality and kindness that many in the minority camps in the US have fought for almost a hundred years…

When the truth is, the fight has only started.

Welcome to Come 2Gether, an informational online community center designed to inform and bring together the same marginalized groups that were deeply affected back in the late 2010s. Our team of truth-seekers is here to sift through the mainstream media nonsense and fear-mongering and bring you the truth: plain, simple, concise.

We don’t believe in sensationalizing or demonizing any group of people on this site, but rather we want to combat fear with empathy and kindness, traits that are far too overlooked these days.

Our goal: inform, lift up, and bring together.

And we’re not solely focused on marginalized groups either. With inflation affecting every family not in the top tax bracket in this country, as well as climate change affecting every living being on this planet, and even international geopolitical conflict affecting peoples outside the US, our goal is the same there: to lift everyone affected by these things up and to inform the general public.

We do this by vetting every bit of news and information through an intense series of fact-checking and cross-referencing. Every bit of information, news, and community notes goes through this same process, no matter what source is used to convey the message.
